What do we fight for?
What do we hope to gain by it?
When one does not have one’s own self?
What kind of victory do we hope to win?
Would anyone who believes in causes and effect?
The Karma, and reaping what we sow
Or anyone who believes in a God
Ever bring about pain to another?
Those who search for liberation
By shedding others’ blood
Are non-humans worse than animals.
Today and tomorrow
The ones who decide their fate
Are themselves.

SAGNATHING ATHI MANGNETHI
HAM PARABAVATHO MUKHAM
Anyone who becomes very proud of his race,
wealth and clan and push down his relatives,
that also is a reason for his downfall.
